Theodore “Ted” Gunderson (now deceased) was a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) special agent who was in charge of the division located in Los Angeles, California.
The 2 cases that Gunderson was tell known for was
Gunderson joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in December 1951 — he later became head of the Dallas FBI in 1975.
After retiring from the FBI, Gunderson set up a private investigation firm in Santa Monica.
Later he became a defense investigator for Jeffrey R. MacDonald, a former Green Beret medical official accused of murdering his pregnant wife and two daughters.
While investigating the case, Gunderson discovered that MacDonald had been framed and later obtained a signed confession from one of the actual killers.
Unfortunately, Gunderson passed away in 2011 at the age of 82 from Cancer.
