The President continued the work of trying to broker ‘Peace’ between the two nation-states by forcing Israel into giving up part of its land and its inheritance. Furthermore, President Obama essentially placed the blame on Israel by implying that they were too quick to give up on the “hard-work” of peace.
Although I am not Jewish, I couldn’t help but be insulted for Israel by the President’s implication in this speech.
Time after time, we have watched the Obama Administration blame Israel for the the collapse of every peace agreement Secretary John Kerry brokered — But is Israel really to blame?
“The violence engulfing the region today has made too many Israelis ready to abandon the hard-work of peace. And that is something worthy of reflection within Israel.”
Said The President to the U.N.
He continued…
“Because lets be clear, the “Status Quo” in the West Bank and Gaza is not sustainable. We cannot afford to turn away from this effort.
Not when rockets are fired at innocent Israelis or the lives of so many Palestinian children are taken from us in Gaza.”
It seems as if the President is completely omitting the fact that Israel was (and still is) trying harder than any other party to broker a peace-agreement between the two nation-states, But Israel has made it crystal clear that she will never accept an agreement that puts the survival of their nation in jeopardy — a 2-state solution does exactly this.
Unfortunately, before a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine could be met,
the Palestinian government created a joint partnership with Hamas, a terror organization who has vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the map.
Upon learning this Israel Immediately stopped the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks and declared to Palestine and the world that as long as Palestine remains in-league with Hamas, It would be suicidal for Israel to formulate a peace agreement with them — therefore they will not.
If you were Israel, would you really sit down at a table with someone like that?
