This happened to me the other day,
I was “Fiddling” around with my video camera. while trying to set it up, and I guess my finger rubbed against the sharp part of the plastic-like bottom piece,
but when I felt the sting I knew immediately it was a cut.
Now I know some of you are thinking… “that is not a paper-cut deon.”
okay it wasn’t EXACTLY a paper-cut but I thought It would sound silly to say that I got a “Plastic-like Cut”.
But the extent of the damage that was done, It was extremely similar to a paper-cut so for the purpose of this article,
we will continue referring to my plastic-like cut as a “Paper-cut” 🙂
But to continue…
After I felt the sharp sting in my hand, I kind of got depressed.
Yes, I know that sounds silly. why get upset over something that has happened thousands of times?
But Its Just human nature. when something bad happens in life we immediately get a little down and we start to think “Why Me?”.
Although I can’t speak for everyone, I am sure that the majority of you reading this has experienced something similar to this.
whether it was the loss of a friend, A personal failure, or maybe even a financial, Mental, or emotional situation.
But regardless of who you are, you are human. And It is human nature to seek reason, to search out Logic.
So as I was in the bathroom one day (inspiration strikes at the most inconvenient times)
suddenly, I had an epiphany regarding the paper-cut I had received a few days prior.
And then it hit me like a ton of bricks…
So often in our lives we focus on the outcome of the bad things that happen to us,
But we rarely ever consider looking at the Income that we have gained from the bad things which usually outweighs the bad!
If we could learn to take the time to think and consider the Bad things that happen to us, most often than not, we can see that they all actually lead us to even better things!
For Example:
Have you ever wanted to go somewhere, but something bad happened that prevented you from going?
(maybe you got sick, or had a flat tire, or lost track of time)
but later on you found out something that actually made you happy that you did not go?
Or have you ever been dumped by your first love, only to get 10 years down the road to find your true love?
Or have you even got caught cheating on a test, and failed.
and you then were forced to go to detention… only to be FORCED to learn the very material that you initially cheated on?
Which in turn actually led to you passing the final exam?
Likewise!
In Life, bad things happen….
But that doesn’t mean that Life is Bad.
Think of it like this….
If you want to get to the destination called “Good Things”,
You must drive on the road named “Bad Things”.
So often we start driving on this road, and when we experience bad things… instead of continuing our journey, we get angry and we just “park the car“.
This is why so many people feel like they are Stuck with bad things happening all around them,
Its not because they have bad luck, It is because they have parked their cars on Bad Things Street!
its not our job to fixate on why the bad things, but we should learn from them and trust that even the bad things in life will actual work out for our good.
(Romans 8:28) We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.
Sometimes God uses bad situations to show and teach us more about him and more about Life.
But we can trust that no matter what happens in life, he won’t allow more than he already knows that we can handle.
(1Corinthians 10:13) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
So in my case, this tiny little paper-cut actually helped me learn more about God!
The first concept, you just read.
The second being what I consider evidence of the existence of a divine creator!
Once I received the cut, I noticed that a little blood appeared to form…
but as I continued to watch, I noticed that almost as quickly as I had gotten the cut, It slowly began to heal.
The very first thing that happened was the blood stopped.
( I took a few biology classes in school so I knew that when the body encounters a cut, immediately our blood begins to clot to stop the bleeding. )
Although I knew this from a very young age, for some reason…
This time, It took on new meaning to me…
Why does our blood Clot?
Our blood clots to stop the bleeding. But this presents several more questions!
- How do our blood cells know when to clot?
- How do our blood cells know that clotting will help?
- How do our blood cells know HOW to clot?
The answers to these 3 questions can be found in one word…. Intelligence.
Even down to our micro-composition, we can seen God’s Intelligent Design in ALL life, not just mankind!
In the image to the below, we can clearly see that the blood cells bond together to stop a greater threat!
It is amazing how the body works together so intelligently although many people believe we are just a sack on organs wrapped in skin with Zero intelligence involved in creation.
And this evidence is seen not only in this aspect, but also in the aspect of our Health.
When we are sick, immediately our body sends out
to go out and find the “criminals”
(virus, micro-organisms) that are wreaking havoc throughout our body.
And although we don’t even realize it, our bodies are displaying default intelligence each and every single day!
- How many times have you had to tell your heart to beat?
- How often do you have to remind yourself to breathe?
- How often do you have to instruct your blood cells to clot?
Answer? Never.
its an automatic response, Its “common sense” to your body.
Intelligence is embedded within all creation and it is clearly seen in all creations!
We also read this in the bible…
(Romans 1:18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
(Romans 1:19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
(Romans 1:20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
So the next time you get a paper-cut,
… What is God trying to show you? 🙂
