Question:
What would you do If your computer became infected by a virus?
( Symptoms: Slowness, Crashing, threatened privacy )
If you are like 99% of the people on the planet, you will simply try to restore the computer to its original settings, right?
But for this Example,
lets personify the Computer…
Imagine that, like you, it had a mind of its own.
So you buy a re-installation disk, preparing to restore the computer to its original functionality. You open up the disk drive to insert the CD
and all of a sudden…
your computer SCREAMS at you, saying…
STOP! what are you doing? Don’t put that in there! I am working FINE just the way I am.
So after you try to convince the computer that it really does need to be restored, and after it continually rejects your attempt to repair it…
Will you continue to try to use that computer?
Probably not.
I used this example to illustrate GOD’s relationship with mankind!
GOD is the computer owner, WE are the computer,
and the “Virus”, is Sin.
When Adam and Eve sinned against the Lord, they were infected with this virus, and it passed from them to ALL of their descendants ( yes, including you ).
When birthed, ALL of mankind is infected by Sin…
Symptoms of Sin:
(Rom 6:22) But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
(Rom 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This is why GOD sent his only son Jesus to “reboot” us from our sins!
But many people reject God’s gracious gift of redemption by rejecting his son Jesus.
any religion or belief that detracts from the true divinity of Jesus as the Son of GOD is in essence rejecting God’s plan of restoration for Mankind.
(1Jn 2:22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
(1Jn 2:23) Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
God is the loving father of humanity,
and he promised that if any man come to him, he will in NO-WISE turn him away( John 6:37 )
But the problem now is that in such a “Fast” world…
It is sometimes hard to hear the voice of God.
As Christians,
We are to let our Light Shine, so men may see the truth in US.
When we allow our Light to shine before men, they will Glorify God and thus turn to him.
and God will in NO-WISE turn away a computer that needs to be repaired 🙂
