“Does The Bible says Rape is Okay?” | False Facts Exposed

bibleDoes the Bible Support the Rape of Women?

In discussions with non-Christians, we often hear falsified claims against the bible that are never based on factual evidence — but rather are based on faulty (and often biased) assumptions. But what is interesting is that it is usually the people who don’t know the bible that try to use scripture against Christians.

Unfortunately, once you show them the error in their understanding — they accuse you of using the bible to defend the bible (although they used the bible to attack the bible) or they accuse you of “Preaching” — as they love to call it.

One false statement most commonly heard is that the Bible supports the rape of women.

In their Ignorance, skeptics often misinterpret the following scripture…

(Deuteronomy 22:28)  If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

(Deuteronomy 22:29)  Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

Upon first glance, it is easy for someone to misunderstand the meaning of the scripture if they are not familiar with the Biblical language being used —

this is why non-believers simply read the scripture once and automatically assume that they have the correct interpretation of what is being said when the often do not.

Lets discover the actual meaning of this passage.

TRANSLATION: If a man finds a woman who is not engaged, and he and the woman engage in sexual intercourse (voluntarily, not forcefully) — if their actions are discovered, then must the man that had sex with her give unto the woman’s father a dowry (gift) in exchange for the daughters hand in marriage , because he has “Humbled” her (taken her virginity).

This scripture in the Bible is NOT saying that if a Man rapes a woman then he must pay the father.

How do we know this?

Because if the scripture was saying this, it is clearly defying the passages that came directly before it!

Just a few verses before verse 29, the Bible tells what would happen to men who raped women in that time…

(Deuteronomy 22:25)  But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

(Deuteronomy 22:26)  But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

In this passage, we can clearly see that the woman is being FORCED to have sex with the man (unlike in verse 29).

This passage clearly says that if a Man rapes a woman — then that man (alone) is to be put to death. But the Woman has done nothing wrong therefore she shall NOT be put to death.

Why do so many people think this is true?

Simple Answer, Biblical Ignorance.

ignrMany people have heard this claim made, but instead of questioning it — they either believe it without studying the word or simply try to erase it by saying “That was back then”. It is this approach that has allowed so many attacks on the Bible’s integrity to remain unchallenged.

But it is my prayer that all Christians will take a bold stand on the word of truth and will expose the many lies that are circulating this generation regarding the bible. Satan’s greatest weapon against Believers is the Ignorance of not knowing God’s word..

In many so-called “Modern Translations” of the bible, several words have been changed and rearranged. This was intended to use common-day language which would make the bible easier to read and understand.

Gay Bible

Queen James bible (Homosexual)

However, there are also some Heretic translations that to distort biblical text into a message that is far from its original meaning. These bibles translations are disgusting distortions of scripture.

It is these translations that cause skeptics to believe that there are many “Versions” of the bible when there is actually only one. It goes without saying that of course Satan has devised his own plot to create inaccurate translations of the bible to confuse and mislead Christians. Therefore It is this type of demonic influence that the body of Christ must war against — But if the Church remains silent while the integrity of the bible is slandered by so many false doctrines — how can we share the truth?

It is Satan’s plan to shut the mouth of believers by convincing them that speaking out against these wicked things will be considered “Hate-Speech” — But God calls his people to take a stand against Sin.

Will you take a Stand?

To The Reader:

– Have you ever been exposed to this Lie? What did(would) you say?
